Christened The Folly, this estate was built c.1937. This amazing historic oceanfront residence sits on over half an acre of prime direct oceanfront property. With 100+ feet of coastline frontage, The Folly provides unmatched panoramic views of the ocean and its coastline. Its style is reminiscent of the fine Cape Cod estates popular along the upper east coast. The layout and historic notes tell a story of a time when life was simpler and downtime included taking in the beauty of a morning sunrise stroll, playing in the gentle surf in front of your home or playing games in the game room.

The home features 6 bedrooms, 4 ½ baths and almost 6,000 square feet. The front door opens into an expansive and spectacular updated oceanfront room, which serves as a spacious family room with stunning ocean views and contains a bar area and high top table for your enjoyment. There is a 10-person table in the formal dining room - which has tall open beamed ceilings, a vintage decorative fireplace, an ocean view reading area with 2 recliners and desk/work area for those that really need to work while on vacation. There is a large and spacious kitchen with seating for 4 that opens up to a huge deck. The house has sleeping for up to 16 people and includes 2 oceanfront master bedrooms each with its own full bath, one above the family room and one on the main floor. The main floor also contains a front bedroom with a king bed, two equally spacious bedrooms each with 4 twin beds in them. The upstairs master is a spacious bedroom and has a built in desk with printer. This room has incredible second floor ocean views and access to a private balcony and roof top crow’s nest deck. Downstairs contains a large game room with Foosball table, ,Pool Table and a Ping Pong table, Bedroom with a private bath, laundry room, expansive storage areas and a two car garage. There is a hot tub on the back patio with great ocean views and a perfect way to see the sunrise. Enjoy all the oceanfront sights, sounds and scents from your expansive patio. Direct beach access from your private dune crossover affords you access to all the splendor of ocean living at your every whim.

The Folly was built only a short period after Cocoa Beach was established and two years after A1A was cleared into a one lane dirt road. Two years later in 1939, the New Banana Air Station, now known as Patrick Air Force Base was opened. Cocoa Beach was a newly established town with only 40 residents and on the edge of entering into the golden age of technology and space exploration. Today’s residents proudly proclaim Cocoa Beach the quintessential beach town. From the house you can easily walk to restaurants such as Coconuts either by taking the beach route or by walking through the town. With an hour’s drive east from Orlando, Cocoa Beach offers endless ways to enjoy your leisure time. Stunning beaches, sparkling waters, competitive surfing, just minutes to Port Canaveral, the Banana River and the Indian River / Intracoastal Waterway, residents have access to some of the best waterways, fishing and fresh local dining in Florida. I wrote a very long reveiw but somehow it didn't this one will be short. Basically we LOVED the house - had plenty of common space as well as private areas. Cocoa Beach is the best beach in FL - not crowded, great sand. The home had everything you need and more. We had 16 people age 4-72 and everyone had a fantastic time. Denise was great to work with and answered whenever we needed to call.
